ETAC Asks for Community Support for AirTran

May, 2009

ETAC and the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority have worked tirelessly for the past 7 years to attract new low fare service to McGhee Tyson airport,  Now they are here offering nonstop service from Knoxville to Orlando International Airport, AirTran's Hub airport.  We are thrilled to have AirTran back in Knoxville and want our community to realize that this is our one chance to show them that we will support them by flying AirTran.  The only way we will have an opportunity to expand Airtran's service from Knoxville to other cities is to support their service to Orlando now.

Orlando is AirTran's hub airport, so many destinations can be reached by traveling through Orlando, including Cancun and Puerto Rico.  Please make an effort to choose AirTran to Orlando as much as possible.

How does this affect me?

If our community wants to see low fares to many destinations, then we need to support AirTran's service to Orlando so they will add additional service to other cities.

Laptop Stations are available in the concourse area of McGhee Tyson Airport. Pull out seats are attached to the desk areas at the gates and offer a handy place to work before boarding your flight.

Save money by purchasing tickets as early as possible. This gives you more flexibility at the best possible price.  Save even more by staying over on Saturday night.
