The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (MKAA) and East Tennesseans for Airfare Competition (ETAC) have submitted an application for a Small Community Air Service Development Grant. Funds from this grant will be used to help recruit and provide marketing support for new low-fare airline service at McGhee Tyson Airport. You can help lower the cost of air travel from our region by volunteering to write a letter of support for our application. We are competing with dozens of other communites across America for a very limited amount of federal grant dollars. The support of our community will be a key factor in the Department of Transportation's evaluation of our application.
To get started, please email etac.org@gmail.com and request background information and tips on how to write the support letter. In addition, we will send you a sample letter for your review.
